Vienna, 15.10.2020 – Due to trade dispute with the United States Huawei is not allowed to use Google’s PlayStore as well as various Google services for new devices. Therefore, Huawei established the AppGallery. The Chinese company announced in a recent press release that it is now the third largest app marketplace in the world with a market share of 20% and is continuing to grow. More than 420 million active customers around the globe use the Huawei App Store every month. In Europe, too, a large number of apps are now available, including apps on the subject of travel and mobility from the Munich transport and tariff association (Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund MVV), HERE WeGo and TomTom Go for navigation and taxi.eu for taxi orders.

First taxi app in the Huawei AppGallery

In May 2020 the IT experts of fms/Austrosoft have realised the taxi.eu app in the Huawei AppGallery. This makes taxi.eu the first and only taxi app in the Huawei AppGallery, realizing the possibility for even more order enquiries via the taxi.eu community. As a result of a coordinated marketing initiative, taxi.eu was already presented in the top app section of the Huawei AppGallery for a fortnight in May 2020. During the period of this campaign, users of Huawei smartphones were recommended the advertised taxi.eu app as one of the most important apps (recommended apps) when opening the AppGallery. In this way, the attention of Huawei users could be strongly drawn to the taxi.eu offer, which has already paid off with tens of thousands of downloads.
